Getting it real good.
Even though the quality of riding was going to be questionable, I was full of anticipation and excitement heading out into a new zone with a new crew. Gaining elevation with rolling visibility we were pleasantly surprised to find great snow with fun features to hit along the way back to shelter.
With the sun cracking after a slow morning, stoke levels were high taking in the epic views of all this zone has to offer. A stark contrast to wandering in the fog, the morning allowed us to fully explore and get some great lines.
Heading out into the landscape ahead, the light seemed to roll through the valley and clear as we dropped in before repeating the process all over.
Breaking trail in stunning up tracks and laying eyes on new terrain made for an awesome afternoon exploring. Ascending, descending, taking it all in. The perfect flow of effort and reward, silence and stoke. The blissful act of being wholly present in the moment flowing through the landscape before us.
Some zones speak to you more than others and I can't wait to get back here and explore more.
